MAIN PARTY
Transport of Personal Kit
The articulated lorry that will transport personal kit and most of our equipment will depart from Leander headquarters in
Departure (see last update)
Meet at Surbiton Station rear entrance Monday 24th July at 06.00 latest. On arrival, check in with your Group Travel Leader. Rig of the Day is Group Activity Shirts, uniform trousers and uniform caps.
Return
To Surbiton Station rear entrance Thursday 3rd August at 22.40 if all goes to schedule. Check out www.freewebs.com/nawaka or call your home contact for updates.
Unloading of Lorry
The lorry will return to Leander headquarters
Family Holidays
If you are departing for a family holiday on Friday 4th or Saturday 5th August please let us know and we will try to bring back your son’s or daughter’s kit in the Advance Party van which will return late Thursday.
ADVANCE PARTY
Personal Kit and Van Loading
The Advance Party van will transport important kit including marquees and mess tents that will be erected by the Advance Party. It will also carry team members’ personal kit. The Advance Party will load all personal kit and Leander tents etc. into the van at Leander after the articulated lorry has been loaded. The van will then move to Sealion headquarters where Sealion Explorers will load Sealion tents etc. It will finally move to the Ajax WAC where Ajax Explorers will load Ajax tents etc. The entire loading process should be completed by mid-afternoon.
Departure
Meet at Ajax WAC Sunday 23rd July at 06.00 latest. Advance Party Rig of the Day is Group Activity Shirts and either uniform trousers or plain navy blue shorts.

All rucksacks must be clearly and securely marked with the owner’s name, Section and Group.
Check the Kit List to ensure you don’t accidentally pack items needed for the journey to NAWAKA.
Be sure to pack enough food and drink to sustain your son or daughter on the outbound journey and through to early evening.

All items, except sleeping bag, groundsheet, and uniform to be packed in rucksack lined with a heavy duty dustbin liner. Compressed sleeping bag to be placed in heavy duty dustbin liner, tightly rolled in groundsheet, tied with a belt and secured to rucksack. Uniform to be worn for journey. Waterproof to be easily accessible.
Kit should contain essentials only. Each participant must be able comfortably to carry his or her loaded rucksack for a reasonable distance. This will be essential when arriving and departing.
Every item of personal property must be clearly and indelibly marked with the owner's name. It is particularly important that all uniform and activity shirts are properly marked. Much distress to the owner can be avoided in this way.
Items specifically prohibited at Camp are: mobile phones, camp beds, all forms of knives, portable televisions, portable DVD players, music systems of any kind with separate speakers larger than 10 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm.
